My Journey to Thailand 2017

I have been to many countries around the world, but Thailand will always remain my favorite. Thailand is a great family travel destination. Its inexpensive, simple, full of delightful food and there is so much fun activities to do. Thailand is globally known to be a significant touring destination, Thailand will defiantly change one's point of view about South Asia for tourists. It is a country blessed with a tropical and cozy climate and lots of islands with spectacular beaches and many attractions that are a perfect delight for families and friends. Immeasurable hotels and restaurants abound in significant areas and for very affordable prices.  Thailand is called “the land of smiles” and lives up to that expression as the people are amicable and welcoming. Thai people are magnificent and very friendly, you will always be greeted with a smile and a warm face. I have traveled to Thailand many times and every time I visit it; I love to discover new areas in Thailand.

Bangkok is the capital of Thailand; it’s filled by many things to do and spots to see. There is nevermore a dull moment when you hit the roads of the city. There are many theme parks and animal attractions. You will love it and enjoy it from the delightful food to the cultural inland areas, to the pretty beaches. My trips around Thailand are memorable and a lot of fun. I visited it several times. Recently, my last visit was in 2017. I enjoyed every moment in that country. I have been to a hotel called The Peninsula Bangkok; I love this place. It is a great hotel and satisfied service.  Everything is done with a touch of elegance and customer caring and considering. What we liked the most is that the location is across the river. From the river, you can take the hotel's boat and go across the river to the sky train station or into town. They had Delicious buffets for breakfast and dinner. Every staff member had a smile on their face and was always willing to assist. ; it’s the faultless service and attention to detail that sets the luxury hotel to aim towards. When you wake up in the morning, you will find a magnificent view from your balcony. Every request fulfilled, and nothing needs to be asked for twice.

When visiting Bangkok, you should put an entire day for the safari world. The safari world has plenty of open and vegetation areas. It is a zoo, but not as the typical zoo's that we know and see in our country. You will not have a regular safari experience while visiting the safari world. You will see something new, exciting, entertaining and have the pleasure of a unique experience. You will be able to attend different animals shows, and trust me you wouldn’t want to miss out any one of them. Rushing from the show to the other was pretty tiring as the shows are placed at different ends of the safari park. But it really worth it. Some of the shows are extraordinary like lions hopping through hoops of fire, just like the scene in Madagascar where Alex jumps through the hoops of fire. But this time it was real and right in front of my eyes. Next, we went to the Elephant’s show, where the elephants were standing up on two legs and carrying a woman on their trunk while playing with some bouncy balls. That show was very humor and sensational. Then we went to the funniest animal in the world also known as the monkey; the monkeys were dancing, playing drums and riding mini bikes without losing their balance. Still not amazed yet? Just wait till you hear about the next show.

Later, we went to eat lunch, and we ate crispy chicken with Thai sauce and Chili, combining both sweet, and spice when it comes to food is a Thai tradition. It is a delicious combination. After we finished, we went to the scariest show which was the crocodiles one, we went to a whole other section just to go to the water aquarium, and when we reached there, the tickets were sold out, so we tried booking online then finally at the last moment we found two tickets for my husband and me. The show was blood-rushing, the performer put his head into a crocodile’s mouth and performed gymnastics moves on it’s back. And then we took a photo with the crocodile after the show has finished, it was a breathtaking moment.

Lastly, we attended the bird's show; the birds were flapping their colorful and bright wings all over the place, they were flying here and there shocking everyone with their amazing talents. Some parrots even stood on people’s heads and took off their hats then returned them to the rightful owners. I was so shocked to learn that birds are so intelligent that they could memorize the places of people and return their items, there also was a singing macaw that sung a Thai song, everyone’s jaw dropped to the floor when they realized that the macaw is the one who was singing. Besides, One of the most beautiful experiences is to feed the giraffes, don't miss the best attraction of the zoo, which is the giraffe feeding where you can feed a banana to the giant's giraffes. Probably you will find around two hundred or more giraffes that are waiting for you to feed them. A box of banana that cost 100 baht is a little bit expensive, but it worths the experience, it was a remarkable try.

Additionally, Inside the Safari World, you will find a Mini World, is a place where you will find many birds which will come very close to you. You can feed the little birds and make them sit on your hands, arms and shoulders. When we finished watching all the shows made a quick stop to the zoo’s souvenirs shop, we bought a magnet as a souvenir and a tiger toy for my kid. We were exhausted after that eventful day, so we decided to head back to the hotel, little did we know, a surprise would await us back at the hotel, which was a mini cake and some roses placed in our rooms courtesy from the beautiful hotel and staff.

The next day, we went to a different zoo which had quad bikes, we went and booked them for three hours the staff took us to a room, and we put on safety helmets and knee pads. Then headed to a practice area and I gave my bike a trail, and I discovered some issues with the bike before heading out to the zoo area, so I they changed the damaged bike with another one which was safe and had no issues. We could roam with our bikes all over the place, and we saw a lot of animals like zebras, ostriches, Lions, goats, peacocks, and hippos. We finished around 7 pm which was dinner time. So we went to eat dinner, and we ordered grilled shrimp with lobsters and tom yam soup, It was spicy and delicious.

You will find various types of markets in Thailand there are the food markets, ones that open only on weekends, floating ones and even night markets. Markets are essential parts of the whole experience, and your journey to Bangkok will be incomplete without a visit to them. As I mentioned before there is a market called the weekend market and the expression "Shop till you drop" is applicable for it. The weekend market is considered the biggest and most exciting market I’ve ever witnessed. It only opens on weekends, and that’s something that is new for me. You can get a tremendous range of products such as ceramics, home accessories like chairs, tables, couches and more, electronics, clothes, and food, it includes a lot of Thai specialized Services as well like a foot, head, and shoulder massage. Moreover, you can have some great souvenirs too. The essential things that you could buy in Thailand are facemasks, coconut oil, and fruit soap; fruit soap is a kind of soap that is famous in Thailand, you can pick from various choices like mango, orange, lemon, apple and more, they also smell and look like fruits. The word splurged is not enough to describe the shopping experience when in Thailand. Visiting the markets could be challenging because the roads at the markets are very narrow and while Thailand is a tropical country the markets could get a bit extra hot from the pressure that happens when a lot of people gathered in a small place. The opening timing for the weekend market is from 9:00 AM to 12:00 AM.  If you want to have a trip to the market put into consideration, it would be better if you arranged your schedule to arrive earlier in the morning and depart in the afternoon to avoid the crowdedness.

carrying an umbrella with you while you are walking and applying sunblock is not an idea that you should push aside when visiting the market, because the weather in Thailand is unstable there, I'm speaking from my experience once I was walking in the sunny weather and suddenly out of nowhere the clouds turned dark, and the rain started heavily pouring everywhere!

There is also a market called the floating market it is comparable to the weekend market, however, the significant variation that you will be touring around the market on a boat. It’s a unique experience. Which can make you recognize and appreciate true authentic Thai culture. The boats are reasonably priced and the experience very much worth it, riding a boat through the Canals having shops on both sides and see the market boats selling foods and souvenirs from A to Z.

Another market that I visited is the “Rot Fai Market” also known as Train Market, when the train is going to pass by A beautiful little warning bell goes off over the speaker system just a few minutes before the train comes. Within a few minutes of receiving the warning, sellers pull back their products and start to move to the sides before the train arrives. Once the train passed, the sellers immediately,  put their products back into their original places. Everyone went back to normal as if nothing unusual had ever happened. When you are in Bangkok, you must come and try this night market. This market is vast and full of trendy and vintage stalls. You can purchase things like cheap clothes, plants, antiques, hats, traditional Thai products, and so much more. The restaurants provide a wide variety of delicious international food with different prices range, mostly very cheap. There are also several places to take photographs next to vintage cars and beautiful lights of the market.

I would highly recommend that you try the Thai Coconut Mango Sticky Rice which made with fresh and sweet yellow mango, sticky rice, and the fantastic coconut sauce.  It is a combination that will make your taste buds dance.

Overall, my trip to Thailand was the most amazing place.
